What Each Ingredient Does
Glycerin
HumectantDraws moisture from the air into the hair shaft, preventing dryness and brittleness. Plant-derived.
Cetearyl Alcohol
EmollientA fatty alcohol (not drying) derived from coconut or palm oil. Conditions and softens hair, improves texture.
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
StrengthenerPenetrates the hair cortex and binds to the hair shaft, adding thickness and shine. Reduces breakage.
PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidone)
Hold PolymerFilm-forming synthetic polymer that creates flexible hold without stiffness. Used in all our paste and powder products.
Kaolin Clay
Texture AgentNatural clay mineral. Absorbs excess oil, adds texture and grip. Used in Space Dust for the matte, gripping finish.
Aqua (Water)
SolventThe base of all our water-based formulas. Allows even distribution and makes products water-soluble for easy washout.
Cetrimonium Chloride
Conditioning AgentQuaternary ammonium compound. Anti-static, conditions and detangles. Plant-derived alternative to synthetic versions.
Fragrance
ScentAll CrazyBull fragrances are vegan-certified and do not contain any animal-derived musks. Full ingredient lists available on each product.
Why We Went 100% Vegan
In 2014 we reformulated the entire range. Not because it was a trend — because we believed it was the right thing to do, and because plant-derived ingredients perform better than their animal-derived equivalents in most styling applications.
Every ingredient we use has been tested to perform at least as well as what it replaced. We didn't sacrifice performance — we improved it.
